- The athletic dog when walking on hard, uneven and rocky surfaces to prevent damage to the sole. Also, the shoes are non-slip making them great for wearing on boats;
- The older dog who gets more difficulties with smoother or uneven surfaces (outdoors). The shoe is heavier than the other 2 shoes from Ruffwear;
- The dog with injury to the sole;
- The dog that cripples in snow and brine.
Not suitable for:
- The dog with no/less walking function.

- Measure forefoot width in position with load. So when measuring, lift the other leg, place the foot on paper, draw a line on the inside and outside along the widest point of the foot and measure the distance so the 2 lines;
- The shoes are sold in pairs;
- When the dog needs shoes for all feet, the size of the front foot may differ from the back foot;
- A dog sock can make the shoe fit even better;
